Things to Remember When Working on Your Plastic Model Building Kits

When you are constructing your plastic model, your aim is to make it look like the object it is modelled after. So take time to read the instructions included in the set. Re-read if necessary and identify any piece that may be missing from the package.

Before you begin working on your plastic models, prepare all the necessary tools (may not be included in the package) such as tweezers, hobby knives, pliers, magnifying glasses, and additional lighting as needed. To make your models more realistic, don’t forget to apply the paint included in the kits.

Prior to assembling, you should wash all the parts and pieces! There may be some residues on the connectors, ports, and surfaces of your plastic models. Cleaning beforehand ensures that pieces will properly connect to each other and the paint will stick to the surfaces. Be extra careful when cleaning, so they do not break. Make sure they have completely dried up before you begin working on your assembly.
