Transformers KRE-O Sets
The Transformers have been around for quite a while and Transformers toys have been popular just as long. However, Transformers Kre-O are relatively new on the market having just been released late in 2011. KRE-O makes a line of building and construction toys very similar to Lego and Mega Bloks. As a matter of fact, Kre-O blocks are compatible with most building blocks
The Transformers KRE-O was the very first line of products in the company’s series.
They appeared at the New York City Toy Fair in 2011. The company has really taken off with its new lines of products. After the Transformers came the Battleship line based on the 2012 film of the same name. The film was based on the original board game. In early 2013, KRE-O developed a G.I. Joe collection and, not soon after, released a Star Trek line also. The Star Trek sets were based on the movie sequel Star Trek Into Darkness. One of the movie’s trailers featured the U.S.S. Enterprise being made using KRE-O blocks.
Beginning with Transformers KRE-O, the company continues to launch new series periodically throughout the year. The fifth line of products is based on CityVille, a popular online game series. In January 2014 the company is set to release the KRE-O version of Dungeons and Dragons based on the favored role-playing game of the same name. The company will surely continue to grow as it finds ways to partner with other franchises and grow its business. Look for other new KRE-O series later next year.
