A Little History about Banpresto

Prior to becoming a toy manufacturing company, Banpresto Co, Ltd (?????????? Kabushiki-gaisha Banpuresuto) (TYO: 7854) was best known for its game development. Its headquarters was located in the Shinagawa Seaside West Building in Shinagawa, Tokyo. Founded in April 1977 as Hoei Sangyo, Co Ltd, the company was re-named Coreland in 1982. During the 1980s, it worked mainly as a subcontractor for Sega. It has been partially owned by Bandai since 1989 when it acquired its current name.
