Harley Quinn, Gotham’s Clown Princess of Crime

The DC Universe would be much less of a lively place without the hi-jinks and deviltry of the former Arkham psychiatrist, Dr Harlene Quinzel.

Sometimes love can make people do crazy things… but, in worse instances, it just drives them completely insane! Such is the case with Dr Quinzel. She was a promising psychiatrist assigned to provide treatment to the craziest and most notorious of Gotham City’s criminals, the Joker. Being up and close with the Clown Prince of Crime, the former doctor’s “therapeutic experience” wounded ending badly. Harleen became obsessed with the Joker, eventually falling in love with her deranged patient – madly and deeply.

She helped the Joker escape Arkham Asylum. Her love for him incited her to adopt a new personality and change her name to Harley Quinn, the Clown Princess of Crime.
